Banana Flower
Banana flowers emerge as a large tapered cone from the center of the banana tree at the tip end of a forming bunch of bananas. They are red-orange to deep purple and consist of tightly compacted petals that house white tubular flowers within. The flower is starchy and slightly bitter, with more vegetal flavors, entirely different than the mature banana fruit.

Also known as mo qua, hairy gourd, or wax gourd, they come in many shapes. When harvested young, they are truly “hairy” like a kiwi fruit. They are native to Chinese and southeast Asian cuisines. They have a fleshy, soft interior and a delicate, almost bland, taste.

Sing kwa
Its leaves are lobed and can reach 20 cm radius. The flowers are yellow, growing in some bunches and others solitary. The fruit is cylindrical measuring on average 20 to 25 cm. long, green with darker lines that run longitudinally.

Jackfruit
It can reach more than half a meter and its smell when it is mature is unpleasant for some. Within it, you could find up to 500 seeds, which are toasted to eat as a snack. Its pulp is prepared as ice cream, in the form of bread, fried or flavored bbq to make hamburgers. Due to its high availability throughout the year, there are those who say that it will survive climate change and that its nutritional properties delight vegetarians.
